Age of Valor

 Age of Valor is an expansion series for Age of Eagles II (AOE II is necessary to play AOV) that covers European warfare from the 1848 Hungarian Revolution thru World War I, 1914.  AOV is a digital eBook product line consisting of a series of separate expansion modules. For example there is a module on the Russo-Japanese War 1904 - 1905 and so on. The modules are sold separately as a digital downloads thru Amazon and Google Play, though a more expensive hardcopy version is available from Dennis Shorthouse at On Military Matters and in the UK at Caliver Books-Partizan Press.

AOV mini-modules are about 24 - 36 + pages each and include background to the conflict, special rules or other modifications to AOE II to facilitate play, complete Leader and Unit Data Charts, access to an online reference library for detailed Public Domain publications and images on the conflict and more. Each expansion module also includes one to four scenarios, each with historical background, special rules, both a full color battle map and a planning map (without units or names overlaid) and a complete set of color unit labels. Most modifications to AOE II come in the form of Die Roll Modifiers or unit characteristics. Simply play AOE II with these changes, and you should do fine. The expansion modules already published include:

• the Franco-Prussian War, Republican Campaign
• the Austro-Prussian War of 1866,
• the Crimean War,
• Thunder in the East, the Russo-Turkish War of 1877, and the Russo-Japanese War,
• 1859  the 2d Italian Risorgimento,
• Before the Leaves Fall, the Great War 1914, and
• Revolution 1848 (download FREE FOREVER).

As noted above, we have now finished the final expansion module, in this case covering the 1848 European Revolutions such as the Schleswig-Holstein question and the Hungarian Revolution plus the 1st Italian Risorgimento. This is a FREE download.
