Here is a list of current and upcoming events where the AOE gang will be present and hosting games, as well as a description of the events themselves. In some cases, we will also include a list of previous games hosted, just to tweak your appetite by letting you know what you missed. We hope to see you at an AOE sponsored event soon.

HISTORICON 25 Fire & Fury does Pike & Shot, 2d Playtest, Cassell, 1677 - 5 PM Saturday, Event 302

Historicon 25, Lancaster Marriott and Conference Center, Lancaster, PA, 17 - 20 July 2025. All registered players who complete the event will receive a free set of the expansion rules as well as a free copy of the Age of Eagles II (Napoleonic Fire & Fury) core rules and the Age of Honor Lace Wars expansion. Expect multiple Orders of the Pink Pansy to be awarded.

This is the second PLAYTEST for the Pike & Shot module for Age of Eagles 2 (Napoleonic Fire & Fury), covering the TYW to the WSS. New rules, new charts and more, as the Duke of Luxembourg lead the French against the Prince of Orange's Dutch-Spanish army in a head on battle. Newbs, walkups welcome, rules taught. We will be in the Carnage & Glory Club Room.

COLD WARS 2025 Fire & Fury does Pike & Shot, 1st Playtest, Turckheim 1675

Eisenhower Hotel and Conference Center, Gettysburg, PA, 27 Feb thru 2 Mar 25.  Folks have been bugging me forever to produce a Pike & Shot expansion for Age of Eagles (Napoleonic Fire & Fury), so I'm finally taking the plunge. Join us in our first playtest for what will be a free expansion (similar in concept to the Age of Valor series). Its January 1675 and France's Vicomte de Turenne squares off against a Holy Roman Imperial army near the village of Turckheim. Marching thru the snow, he surprised and ambushed the forces of the Elector of Brandenburg as they were settling into winter quarters. Thus, outnumbered 2 to 1, Turenne led Furia Francaise thundered to an astounding victory. Can you do better? Its all here, pike, shot, Pistolier cavalry and some of the spiffiest dressed soldiers this side of a Napoleonic dress ball. Fire & Fury experience spectacular, but no worries. Raw recruits, newbies and walk-ups always welcome (we WILL fit you in).

FALL IN 2024 Fire & Fury does World War  I Thrice, Thunder in Belgium 1914

Wyndham Resort and Convention Center (the Old Lancaster Host), Lancaster, PA. Back by popular demand from Historicon, Franco-Belgian forces battle the Hun during the Guns of August 1914. It's World War I Fire & Fury and last game the vaunted French cuirassiers did NOT charge, make the earth tremble and saber those annoying, pathetically ineffective German machine guns. Time for a rematch! Can you do succeed where others failed?  Rules taught, beginners welcome, experience with Age of Eagles II or Fire & Fury helpful, but not required. HISTORICON 2024 Fire & Fury does World War I AGAIN, August 1914 (x 2)!!!

Lancaster County Convention Center and Marriott, Lancaster, PA.  The Belgians have held in Northern Flanders, so the Germans shift their main attack South. More Belgians and an entire French cavalry corps await them, ready to rumble. The Hun have machine guns, but the French have ELAN! Its Napoleonic Fire & Fury for

FALL IN 2023, FIRE & FURY DOES WORLD WAR I (x 2)!!!

Wyndham Resort and Convention Center (the Old Lancaster Host), Lancaster, PA 3 - 5 November 2023.  Before the Leaves Fall is the 1914 Guns of August World War I variant for Age of Eagles II (aka Napoleonic Fire & Fury). Enjoy a tabletop creation of the critical battle of the Yser, where the battered but brave Belgian army became the bulwark that saved the Allied left flank. Great Escape Games 12 mm 1914 miniatures line will be in exclusive use as Belgian, French and German forces battle for victory before waders are issued when the dikes begin to flood.

COLD WARS 2023, SABRES AND SCIMITARS SWING YET AGAIN x 2! 

Valley Forge Casino and Convention Center, King of Prussia, PA 9 - 12 March 2023. Day of the Siege - the Ottoman Empire gives it one more try. You'd think that after Vienna . . . but now its 1716 and the fortress of Peterwardein is about to fall. Can Prince Eugene of Savoy and the Imperial army save the day? Kurassiers, Sipahi and a Vauban fortress are all in play for the destiny of Europe. Again.

2d Schleswig-Holstein War, Attack on the Danevirke 1864

We have survived the pandemic and AOE will sponsor two AOV Revolution 1848 games, one Friday evening, the other the next morning on the same table in the Carnage & Glory Room.  The two contests will replicate an attack by the Austro-Prussian Federal German Army on the ancient Danish fortifications known as the Danevirke. But it never happened because the Danish army withdrew northward during the night, right under the noses of the Austro-Prussian army opposing it. But what if had happened as planned? It's another battle in the snow by two armies equally matched. 

We will have face masks and sanitizer on hand for those who wish to use them!

Rules: Age of Valor (AOE II Expansion - Age of Rifles European Fire & Fury)

Age of Eagles - Age of Valor returns to HMGS with two sessions of a battle that almost happened, by just a few hours. This was a planned attack on the ancient Danish fortifications called the Danewirke, canceled only because the Danish army withdrew northward during the night, right under the noses of the Austro-Prussian army opposing it. But what if had happened as planned? It's another battle in the snow by two armies equally matched. More details once the PEL is released, but a Friday night and a Saturday morning game is planned in the C&G area. 

HISTORICON 2019! 

Not to mention Fall In 19 and Cold Was 2020, COVID19 Edition. Sorry gang, but the Boss needs a break, so no AOE series games are on tap. Instead, we will host two games on the 1677 Pike and Shot battle of Cassel using the fun TWIGLET (Twilight of the Sun King) rules published by the Pike & Shot Society of which Colonel Bill is the Honorable Webflunky General. Yup, he gets around. The convention is still in Lancaster, PA, running 11 -14 July 2019, so drop by if you are in the neighborhood.
